CLASS EXPECTATIONS

I. CLASS TIME - - - come prepared to learn
1. Bring all needed materials everyday
a. textbook
b. notebook (3 ring binder), paper, pencil or pen
2. Be prepare for class each day by completing assignments and reading
assignments as specified by instructor
a. NO LATE ASSIGNMENTS!!
b. Exception -- illness or other extenuating circumstances
3. Remain alert and attentive in class.
4. Shutting down early will result in a 30 minute detention.
5. Respect others in class
a. No horsing around in classroom or lab
b. Use appropriate language in class
6. Passes
a. You will need to sign out with student agenda if leaving the classroom
7. No food or drinks in classroom (except water in a clear container)
II. ATTENDANCE
1. Be here and be on time
a. Tardies ? Policy will be followed as written in Student Handbook
b. Absences
-If you know you will be absent, please get makeup work before leaving
-If you are absent, please get makeup work in ASAP
-You will be allowed to makeup work according to the Student Handbook
III. GRADING POLICY
1. You will be graded on a percentage of points. Each class will be given the
percentage for that class
2. Grades will be determined using a combination of the following activities
a. class work
b. homework
c. labs and lab reports
d. quizzes
e. projects
f. reports
g. tests
3. Grading Scale
A+ = 98-100% C = 80-82%
A = 95-97% C- = 78-79%
A- = 93-94% D+ = 76-77%
B+ = 90-92% D = 72-75%
B = 88-90% D- = 70-71%
B- = 86-87% F = below 70%
C+ = 83-85%
IV. DISCIPLINE POLICY
All discipline problems will be handled by the individual teacher. Students are expected to follow rules in the in the Student Handbook and expectations for the classroom. If you are a discipline problem, you may serve detention time to makeup time. If you are a continual discipline problem, you may be referred to an administrator.
