Educational Belief Statements

- As a
teacher I believe that every child is a worthwhile person;
therefore children will learn to respect and value one
another.
- As a
teacher I believe children need a positive,
nurturing environment; therefore we will build relationships
that support each other.
- As a
teacher I believe students should be prepared for life long
learning; therefore I will provide an environment which produces a
love for learning.
- As a
teacher I believe every child should learn to be a responsible
citizen; therefore I will provide a classroom community that allows
students to apply and practice acceptable social skills daily and
to be accountable for their actions.
- As a
teacher I believe parents play a vital role in their child's life;
therefore I will communicate each child's progress to the parents
and invite them to visit and take an active role in their child's
learning.
- As a
teacher I believe all children can learn but each have different
learning styles; therefore I will provide opportunities and
activities that are developmentally appropriate for each
child.
- As a teacher I believe children learn best by active involvement therefore I will provide countless "hands on" experiences that foster child participation.
