INTRODUCTION

I have been a teacher in the math department at Beatrice High School since 2001. Previously I taught middle school math at Fillmore Central Public Schools and math & business at Hartington Public Schools. I have also had the opportunity to teach math through Southeast Community College and technology through Northeast Community College. I've coached basketball since beginning my teaching career in 1993.

I have had the opportunity to teach a lot of great young people in our school district. Calculus came to BHS in 2001, and I have had the pleasure to work with students with exceptional math skills through this course. The overall goal in teaching any math class is to have students attain basic math skills so that they may become logical problem solvers in everyday life. Students will also learn the importance of necessary skills such as respect, responsibility, and organization to name a few. I believe in hard work, having fun, and always trying to do one's best at everything offered in life. I also want to offer students the opportunity to use technology and collaboration. Teaching is a great opportunity each day to make an impact in a young person's life.
