Welcome to Beatrice Elementary Schools

We have four elementary buildings in Beatrice that serve kindergarten - fifth grades: Cedar, Lincoln, Paddock Lane and Stoddard. Students are assigned to an elementary building based on their home address and grade level enrollment. All four elementary buildings are very similar; the curriculum taught is designed district-wide thereby offering the students in all four buildings the same learning opportunities. Traveling specialists provide physical education, instrumental and vocal music, guidance, library and speech services.

We believe in kids! At the elementary level we strive to make every day a success for our kids as they participate in their daily activities for learning. It is our goal to give students the maximum opportunity for "hands on learning" and to prepare each student to be a lifelong learner and a responsible citizen. Beatrice is a "Character Counts" community. The pillars: Respect, Fairness, Caring, Responsibility, Trustworthiness and Citizenship provide the basis for our district-wide behavior skills program.

Parent support is strong in all four elementary buildings. Active PTO's assist with a variety of school activities. PTO parents are also of great assistance as volunteers in the classrooms as well as on the playground and in the lunchroom. We encourage strong parent involvement for when the home and school work hand in hand, students are more likely to have a positive feeling and achieve at a higher academic level.
