INTRODUCTION

I started my teaching career at Beatrice Middle School in 2001. After teaching the BHS graduating classes of 2007 and 2008 as seventh grade language arts students, I moved back to my home state of South Dakota. I again taught seventh grade language arts, this time at Douglas Middle School, Ellsworth Air Force Base, while pursuing my master's degree. Apparently I love to pack up all of my earthly belongings and cart them across the country, so I got married and moved back to Beatrice in the summer of 2006. Instead of teaching middle school students again, I moved to the high school level, where I have been ever since.
