November 12-7:00 K-5 program at the Hevelone center at the high school. Have your child to the commons area by 6:45, we showed them where that is. You keep their coats and save them a seat for the rest of the program.
November 14-Dismiss at 11:40-Teachers work on school improvement
November 22-23-No School
December 3-Christmas ornament show and tell
December 22-January 2-Student Christmas break-No school
Thank you to Jill Zimmerman, Chris and Bonnie Baete, Joyce Wenzbauer, Ranette Saathoff, Courtney Whitman and her sister for helping with the Halloween party. The kids really had a great time.

Things we’ve done the past few weeks:
Fall, Pumpkin and Fire Safety units
Toured the Fire Station
Learned about Columbus day
Started our handwriting workbook (we’ve done F, E, D, P, B, R, N, M, H, K, L, U and V)
Learned poems and songs in our poem book(these will come home soon)
Started our Thanksgiving and Turkey book
Practiced patterns and matching numbers to set of objects
Practiced for our Music program
Made pilgrims
Family show and tell
Shared the turkeys made at home(they turned out very cute)
Rhyming
Made pages for our ABC book
We are doing some Thanksgiving activities and learning about turkey’s over the next few weeks. We are also talking about families and how they are similar and different.
Some of the sight words that have been introduced to the kids are: can, you, see, I, to, like, my, we & am.
Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. Layering is helpful when it’s cold in the morning and then warms up! Please put names on everything!
