EVENTS & ACTIVITIES

NONE FRIDAY

 

BASEBALL:  Hosting District Play on Saturday.   #1 seed Om. Roncalli/B-T vs #4 seed Crete at 1:00

#2 seed Gretna vs BHS seeded at #3 playing at 3:30.  Winners will play on Monday at 6:30 to advance to State Play.

 

SCHOLASTIC ACHIEVEMENT BANQUET:  This Saturday evening, starts at 6:30 p.m. as stated on the invitations and tickets (calendar is printed wrong).   Dress is “Business Casual”.  This means no jeans, no shorts, no t-shirts.  Basically nice dress pants and shirt for boys and nice slacks, skirts or dresses for girls. 

 

MEETINGS /DEADLINES: 

ORANGE & BLACK:  All grades and levels of BHS athletes, band members, cheer, dance and flag squads may pick up their complimentary ticket from the main office.    Tickets for friends and family members are available in the main office for $8.00 each.  Banquet is May 10.     Please do not request a complimentary ticket to the banquet unless you are planning to attend.  

 

SENIOR POST GRAD T-SHIRT SIGNATURE PAGE:   Mrs. Luers left the signature page in the main office.  All seniors should sign, even if they don't plan to attend the post grad party.   (Luers)

 

SUMMER READING BUDDIES:   please volunteer to be a Big Buddy for the Summer Reading Buddies program.  Pick up volunteer forms in the office.  Deadline to return the form is today, May 2.

 

LIMITED EDITION:  All students auditioning for Limited Edition should turn in the back page of the audition packet by end of day today.  Students are also encouraged to begin preparing for the audition as soon as possible.  Materials are available from Mr. Meyer.

National Honor Society will have a meeting this Sunday, May 4th at 2pm in the commons.  We will be electing officers and having a trash pickup.  Any juniors that would like to run for an office, please see Mr. Post before the end of today.

 

KEY CLUB:  There will be a mandatory Key Club meeting on Monday, May 5th in the Media Center to elect Key Club Officers.  All members must attend.  If you are interested in being an officer, please see Mrs. Fakler  Rm 212.

 

BOYS SOCCER:  Gear turn in is Friday, May 9th after school, Seniors first working down to the Freshmen.  Uniforms must be cleaned and folded.  Bag should be wiped out.  (Blackwell)

 

VOLLEYBALL:  All girls planning to participate in volleyball this fall, please attend the meeting on Tuesday, May 6 in Rm 118 at 7:45 a.m.  Please bring camp forms and summer schedules.  (Carper)

 

SENIORS:  Class Officers want you to bring group shots for the graduation slide show, anytime this week to the main office.  (Havekost)

 

BART’S DETASSELING APPLICATIONS are available at the main office. 

 

EAGLES JUNIORS SUMMER BASEBALL TRYOUTS:  Sunday, May 4, 1:00 p.m. at Christensen Field.

 

Band-O-Ramaconcert is on Monday, May 5th at 7:00 in the Hevelone Center.  The concert will feature all band ensembles and will include a massed band at the end of the concert.  Admission will be $5 for adults and $3 for students.  Family activity passes will be accepted.  Please plan on coming to support your student(s).

 

LAST DAY FOR PLANT SALE:  Sold about half of our stock on Thursday, will open again to sell the remainder on Monday, May 5th, before Band-O-Rama,  5:00 – 7:00.  

 

Beatrice Public Schools Essential Behavior Skills Program:   This week we are stressingRESPECT.  This week's skill is "ACCEPT INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCES."
