CHIP Program
Child Identification Program
CHIP

Since 2006 Beatrice Masonic Lodge has provided the Masonic Child Identification Program, CHIP, in the Beatrice Schools. The CHIP program is provided at no charge to the parents and includes a video interview, digital finger printing, tooth prints, DNA swab and digital still photo. This year Beatrice Masonic Lodge is offering the CHIP program to all kindergarten, 8th grade and new students.
If your student has a CHIP kit already and is in 8th grade this will upgrade the info and insure that the CHIP information is up-to-date as they enter high school and the college years. The current CHIP program puts the information on DVD which allows the information to be used more efficiently if ever needed.
You will be able to enroll your student in the CHIP program at the upcoming parent teacher conferences. You must sign a permission slip during conferences for your child to participate in the CHIP program. The CHIP dates are October 7, 8, 9. The CHIP program will be at each school during these dates.
If you have questions you may contact the office at your student’s school for a CHIP brochure. You may also contact Terry Stake at 402-239-9443, The Grand Lodge of Masons in Nebraska at 800-558-8029, or www.glne.org.
