Bulletin for 09-02-10

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:     It isn’t hard to be good from time to time.  What’s tough is being good every day.  – Willie Mays, former center fielder, Hall of Famer, sometimes known as the “Say Hey” Kid.

 

Congratulations to the new SkillsUSA officers : President Callie Busboom, Vice President Preston Oltman, Parliamentarian Abbie Vitosh, reporter Liz Huls, Treasurer Lindsey Schlake, Secretary McKaila Brown/ Aly Clark, and Historian Elyse Lyons.

 

EVENTS & ACTIVITIES  - 

BOYS TENNIS:  hosting Gross Catholic at 4:00 at the Hannibal Courts.  Please dismiss at 3:10.

CROSS COUNTRY:  hosting the Beatrice Invite on the BSDC scenic woodland course starts at 5:00 p.m.

SOFTBALL:  at Gross Catholic, Varsity game moved up to play first earlier than originally scheduled, now starts at 4:30 with JV to follow.  New dismissal time at 1:15 to depart at 1:30. 

 

MEETINGS /DEADLINES

DUAL CREDIT:  All students intending to register for a dual credit class this semester need to have their payment along with completed registration forms turned into Mrs. Morris in the Registrar's office by tomorrow afternoon.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS:  

THE 429 FACTORY is now open every evening, except Wednesdays and Sundays, for high school students. Monday, Tuesday & Thursday they are open until 10. Friday and Saturday they are open until Midnight!  Check out the website www.429factory.org for more information on open hours or just stop by. The 429 Factory is located at 923 W. Court St.   

TEAMMATES:  passing competition and NU football and volleyball ticket raffle at the Norris/Beatrice game.  Norris and BHS will be selling raffle tickets jointly to help each schools’ respective TeamMates program.  Be sure to watch the half-time competition and purchase a chance at some NU tickets.

PLEASE KEEP THE FRONT HALLWAYS  CLEAR– MOVE INTO THE COMMONS – before school and stay in the commons during lunch time.

TIDY UP AFTER YOURSELVES – dispose of your garbage and push in your chairs.   

 

Essential Behavior Skill for Wednesday, September 1, was from the Pillar - Respect – Make Requests Appropriately.
