EVENTS & ACTIVITIES:
VOLLEYBALL SUBDISTRICTS: at Waverly, vs Norris at approx. 5:30. Please release varsity players a 3:15 today.
Weight room will be closed today after school (going to cheer on the volleyball team in Sub-Districts).
MEETINGS / DEADLINES:
Wednesday, Nov. 1 during Mentor period:
ALL BHS juniors, American Government, Business Law and Career Academy Law Enforcement students will meet during mentor after announcements in the Hevelone Center. Details and expectations of the Supreme Court FRIDAY will be reviewed. (Sutter)
SCIENCE CLUB Meeting: November monthly meeting will be during mentor after announcements in the Ozone. This is a mandatory meeting as we only meet once per month. Please attend. (Dr. Christen)
POWERLIFTING Meeting during Mentor after announcements in the weight room for students interested in Powerlifting this year. (Meyer)
SWIMMERS & DIVERS: Let’s get your team suit ordered (before tomorrow, WEDNESDAY, November 1). Right now we only need your name, grade and suit size. You may pay when they arrive. Girls - $50, Boys Jammer $40 or Racer Brief $30. Check in with Mrs. Cullison or Mrs. Bruhn in the main office.
SCHOLARSHIPS, CLASSES & DEADLINES: Additional INFO in Student Services Office.
SUPREME COURT HEARING: This Friday, November 3, all BHS junior scholars will be attending a Supreme Court hearing in the Hevelone Center. This event will run from 12:30 to approximately 3:15. This will be a great opportunity to witness an actual session of the Nebraska Supreme Court live here in our very own school. American Government, Business Law and Career Academy Law Enforcement students will be included. Students will be required to leave cell phones in the office and to pass through a metal detector as they enter the Hevelone Center. (Sutter)
Students interested in taking the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) military/career exam, please sign up in the student services office by Nov. 13.

BLAST is looking for applicants that like kids and want to help them succeed in the after-school program. If you are interested in a good-paying, part-time position pick up an application at the Administration Building at 320 North 5th. Applications are also available online at http://beatricefoundation.com/ There are BLAST locations at Lincoln, Paddock Lane, and Stoddard Elementary Schools. You must be 18 to apply. Hours are 3 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and on Wednesday from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. when Beatrice Public Schools is in session.
