CONGRATULATIONS to several BHS art students who have some of their work on display at the Carnegie Building across from the Middle School the entire month of November. In the juried student art exhibit, the winner was Monica Fujan. These 8 listed students received honorable mention: Edward Amundson, Shaydan Bayless, Mikayla Bletscher, Cole Crandall, Layney Jensen, Shyanna Maguire, Olivia Matlock and Karlea Reed.
The class competition all week is the HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE. Please take all donated items to the library. (Oltman/Post/Doyle-Workman)
FYI: Freshmen won last week's competition for class with the fewest office referrals.
Current CLASS standings: 1st place - tie with 225 points are the Seniors, Juniors & Freshmen with the Sophomores bringing up the rear with 125 points.
EVERYONE: Bring those food items in to win the 200 points with your class this week.
ACTIVITY ELIGIBILITY GRADE REPORTING: students (and instructors) are reminded assignments, projects and tests need to be turned in or made up by 3:45, this Friday, November 10, to be graded and posted before Monday, November 13, for activity eligibility reporting.

WEDNESDAY MENTOR MEETINGS tomorrow:
SkillsUSA students please bring your money and fruit sales packet to our mentor meeting tomorrow. (Brockman)
SPEECH MEETING this Wednesday. If you are interested in competing, come to a meeting before school at 7:45 a.m., during mentor, or after school. The meeting will last about 15 min. (Ankrom)
SCHOLARSHIPS, CLASSES & DEADLINES: Additional INFO in Student Services Office.
There will be a representative here from Chadron State College on Thursday. If you are interested in visiting with this representative, please stop by Student Services and leave your name.
Students interested in attending the SCC Lincoln Discovery Days college visit must turn in their permission forms to Mrs. Prososki by tomorrow, November 8.
Students interested in taking the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) military/career exam, please sign up in the student services office by Monday, November 13.
As hunting season has starting, students and staff are reminded to not bring any weapons onto the Beatrice High School campus. Doing so would be a major violation to our BHS Code of Conduct and school district expectations. Consequences are outlined in the Code of Conduct for such a violation. Again, please think through what is in your vehicle as you come to school. (Sutter)
