The Food Drive is going well. Currently, the seniors are in first place, followed closely by the staff. If the staff win, no class is awarded points for this weeks’ competition. Food drive ends at noon on Friday.
ACTIVITY ELIGIBILITY GRADE REPORTING: students (and instructors) are reminded assignments, projects and tests need to be turned in or made up by 3:45, this Friday, November 10, to be graded and posted before Monday, November 13, for activity eligibility reporting.
EVENTS & ACTIVITIES: PLC early out
– unless you are assigned to study group or have detention time to be served.
Boys Open Gym TOMORROW (Thursday) will be after school in the O-Zone at 3:45, NOT in the morning. (Struck)
MEETINGS / DEADLINES: MENTOR MEETINGS:
Student Council mandatory meeting today during mentor in Rm. 133. (Oltman)
PowerDrive will meet in Rm 500 and SkillsUSA will meet in Rm 26. Please bring your fruit sales flyers and payments. (Brockman)
POWERLIFTING: there will be a short meeting today during Mentor in the weight room. For students NOT out for a winter sport who plan to powerlift this year. (Meyer)
SPEECH: If you are interested in competing, come to a 15 minute meeting in Rm. 235 during mentor, or after school. (Ankrom)
REMINDER: Science Club Fruit orders/money are due Friday, November 10. (Dr. Christen)
SCHOLARSHIPS, CLASSES & DEADLINES: Additional INFO in Student Services Office.
There will be a representative here from Chadron State College on Thursday. If you are interested in visiting with this representative, please stop by Student Services and leave your name.
Juniors can access ACT Online Prep. The site used to login is: https://onlineprep.act.org/ When Juniors login, your usernames and passwords are the same as your login on any computer. Juniors then have 365 days of access to the program. Exp.: If you login today, you have access to the system through the October test your senior year. (Nielson/Sutter)
Students interested in attending the SCC Lincoln Discovery Days college visit must turn in their permission forms to Mrs. Prososki by end of today.
Students interested in taking the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) military/career exam, please sign up in the student services office by Monday, November 13, test is on Wednesday, November 15.
As hunting season has starting, students and staff are reminded to not bring any weapons onto the Beatrice High School campus. Doing so would be a violation of our BHS Code of Conduct and school district expectations. Consequences are outlined in the Code of Conduct for such a violation. Again, please think through what is in your vehicle as you come to school. (Sutter)
