QUOTE to PONDERPearl Harbor Remembrance Day occurs on December 7 of each year, designated in memory of the lives lost in the 1941 attack and to remember that we enjoy freedom thanks to their sacrifice. The attack claimed the lives of 2,334 servicemen and servicewomen and wounded another 1,143.

 

STUDENTS & STAFF:  Tomorrow we will be running a M,T,Th bell schedule, with NO Friday early release planned.  Please adjust your alarms and plans as needed to allow for this. (Sutter)

EVENTS & ACTIVITIES:

SWIM & DIVE:  at Ralston for a 4:00 start, please dismiss at 1:15 to be on the road by 1:25.  Diving will be in the middle of the meet.

BASKETBALL DOUBLEHEADER: at Crete. JV’s at 4:30, Girls V at 6:00 & Boys V at 7:30.  Please dismiss at 2:30.
 

MEETINGS / DEADLINES:

Speech practice after school Thursday. Rm 235 (Ankrom)

 

Please HUNT UP AND return library books before the end of the semester.  The fines and fees list will be created and posted next week.   You will lose open campus privileges if your name appears on that list. (Oltman)

 

SCHOLARSHIPS, CLASSES & DEADLINES:    Additional INFO in Student Services Office. 

Students, PLEASE take some time to look at your 2nd semester schedule.  If you want to change your schedule by dropping a class to add one, please see your counselor before Christmas break.  (Post & Prososki)

 

The Nebraska Press Association Foundation scholarship is provided with a preference for students pursuing newspaper journalism education at a Nebraska college/university.  Postmark deadline is February 16, 2018.  Application available on line:  www.nebpress.com

 

The Tri-County Board of Realtors scholarship is available for a graduate from Gage County to attend Southeast Community College, Beatrice, Lincoln, or Milford Campus.  Eligible students must have a grade point average of 2.500 or higher.  Deadline is March 1, 2018.  Applications available in Student Services.
