Seniors won points for last week's Fewest F's.   This week's competition is the Cohort Class with the fewest tardies.  Class Standings as of Feb 2.....  Seniors – 575, Freshmen – 325, Juniors – 250, Sophomores -200
 

Congratulations to the Girls Basketball team for their victory over Om. Gross this past Saturday. 
 

Congratulations to the NBFF Co-op swim team for their performances this past Saturday at the 11 team Elkhorn Invite.  Automatic state qualifying times were obtained by Colton Starck in his 50 Free and by the girl’s 400 Free relay team which includes our BHS freshman, Maya Moran.  Personal best swims by BHS student athletes include:  Morgan McCubbin - 200 free, Silas Jurgens & Nick Witulski - 50 free, Blaine Kujath – 50 & 100 free, Cameron Knepp & Joe Wright - 100 free and Matilda Saunders & Ellie Lenners - 500 free.  (Wallen)

 

Congratulations to Natalie Klaus for placing 6th in Serious Prose at the Beatrice Speech meet SaturdayThe following students received superior ratings:  Kayla Gaertig, Josie Guernsey, Zander Wells, Billy Kelley, Molly Hurley, Holly Fischer, Madison Wolter, Matt Jobman, and Chase Barber. LUNCH TODAY:  CENTER COURT – Corn Dogs  & LEFT FIELD Maple Apple French Toast or a Cold Hoagie Sandwich on the cold fruit bar.  Hot vegetables include:  Tater Tots and/or Garden Blend Veggies. 

 

EVENTS & ACTIVITIES
"Dinner and a Show…. Choir" event.  BFAB Chili and Cinnamon Roll Feed, 5:45-7:45 followed by the concert of BPS Show Choirs:  BMS’s Delegation @ 8:00 pm, First Edition @ 8:20 pm & Limited Edition @ 8:40 pm.

NORRIS BASKETBALL INVITE:  BHS BOYS FROSH will play Linc. Christian at 6:00 in Norris’ South gym.   BHS GIRLS RESERVES will play Norris at the same time in Norris’ North gym. 

 

boys soccer will have open gym tonight from 6:30-7:30 in the Auxiliary gym. (Wells)

INTRAMURAL BASKETBALL:  Tourney Starts Thursday, Febr. 8.  Please check the gyms for schedule.  The Dub Club & Staffers have a 1st round bye therefore will not play until 7:20 a.m.   All Other teams will play at 7:00 a.m. 

 

MEETINGS / DEADLINES:  
FRESHMAN STUDY GROUP will be Wednesday and Thursday lunch time this week. 

SPEECH:
   practice after school today until 6:00.  Let Mr. Ankrom know by end of Tuesday if you are attending the Auburn meet this Saturday.

 

COMPUTER CLUB:  If you have an interest in computers, coding and networking, let Mrs. Mick (Rm 110) know.  She will be setting up a meeting for all interested to hear about BHS’s new computer club.  Tomorrow’s meeting has to be re-scheduled. 

 

REMEMBER:  BHS will be hosting Wrestling Districts this Friday & Saturday, February 9 & 10.  Students will be released at 12:30 this Friday.  If you did not receive the classroom schedule sent to your school email address, please let Mrs. Cullison know.  Please notice that 5th period will occur after 8th period to allow for normal A, B & C lunch groups. 

 

SCHOLARSHIPS, CLASSES & DEADLINES:    Additional INFO in Student Services Office. 

JUNIOR GIRLS:  This Wednesday, Feb. 7th, ALL Junior girls are to report to the Hevelone during Mentor to hear a presentation regarding Girls State. (Prososki)

 

Reminder that BHS is an ACT testing site this Saturday, Feb. 10th.  For those of you taking the test, be rested and ready to go by 7:45 AM.   Bring two forms of ID, pencils and a calculator.
