EVENTS & ACTIVITIES –
NE Wesleyan Honor Band & Choirs – all day.
FROSH BASKETBALL: at Norris Invitational. 6:00 game, playing for 3rd place.
MEETINGS / DEADLINES:
COMPUTER CLUB: If you have an interest in computers, coding and networking, let Mrs. Mick (Rm 110) know. Meeting for all interested to hear about BHS’s new computer club; Tonight after school in her Rm 110.
FCA: will meet tomorrow before school, Friday, 7:10 a.m. in the media center. (Garland)
Science Club zoo trip forms and deposit are due no later than next Tuesday, February 13. Late forms will not be accepted. (Dr. Christen)
SPEECH: Rm 235 after school until 6:00 to practice. (Ankrom)
REMEMBER: BHS will be hosting Wrestling Districts this Friday & Saturday, February 9 & 10. Students will be released at 12:30 tomorrow. Please note that 5th period will occur after 8th period to allow for normal A, B & C lunch groups. If you have out periods, please make sure you know when to report.
SENIORS: HOMESTEADER YEARBOOK PICTURE DEADLINE is Thursday, March 29 for both your Senior Picture and your Baby Picture. Please send electronically or bring in physically to Miss Glenn, Sponsor.
SCHOLARSHIPS, CLASSES & DEADLINES: Additional INFO in Student Services Office.
Reminder that BHS is an ACT testing site this Saturday, Feb. 10th. For those of you taking the test, be rested and ready to go by 7:45 AM. Bring two forms of ID, pencils and a calculator.
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards is an intensive three day camp training program, April 6-8, 2018, that helps participants think critically, share ideas, and learn how to coordinate and lead community service projects. Applications are available in Student Services. Eligible students must be a sophomore or junior. More information at: rotarydistrict5650.org
The greater Omaha/Council Bluffs Area Council on Youth Leadership will sponsor a “Youth Salute”. This program is to honor juniors with a high scholastic average (3.0 g.p.a.) and demonstrated leadership ability. Applications available in Student Services. Nomination deadline is February 23, 2018.
