Please Help us. . .
Please help us to keep information involving your child current. If you have moved, changed telephone numbers, changed work or made changes that could affect how we get in touch with you, please let our office know.
Call the School Office
A reminder!!! If your child is ill, has a medical appointment or is gone for personal reasons, please call the school office and let them know. Unexcused or unresolved absences may lead to academic probation if the student’s schoolwork begins to fall behind.
Lunch Money
Lunch money should be given to your child’s teacher. The teacher will send it to the office to make sure it is deposited to your child’s account. One check can be written for all children you have enrolled in the Beatrice Public Schools district, please make sure that you write each child’s name and the amount you want deposited in their account. Please make sure that the lunch money is in an envelope with the student’s name on it.
Morning Drop-off
When dropping your children off at school in the morning please observe the children in the area and watch your speed. When dropping off, please pull in, drop off your student, and drive away. Please don’t linger. Please don’t take up staff parking places while waiting for your child to go into the school. Please don’t drop off on the opposite side of the street and have your student run across in the middle of the street. Students need to use crosswalks to cross the street. We appreciate your help in this matter!
It’s Cold Outside
With the cold weather outside, please remember to dress your child warmly. We go outside at lunch recess every day unless the temperature is below zero.
Please make sure they have hat, gloves and boots before they leave for school. Also, boots and snow pants are required to play in the snow. Boots are required to be able to play somewhere other than the hard surface. Also, please make sure your child has a warm coat. We have several students that wear only hooded sweatshirts and when the temperature is quite cold, we require those students to wear a coat as well as the sweatshirt if they want to go outside for lunch recess.
If your child is in need of a winter coat, please contact our school office @ 223-1575. We have many new winter coats that need homes.
Public Health Solutions Announces Winner
Public Health Solutions was recently at your school offering flu shots. All students who returned a permission form and received the flu shot were entered into a drawing. Avery Seggerman is the lucky winner who participated in the 2018-2019 SKIP Flu Vaccine Clinic held at Beatrice Public Schools in October. Her name was drawn from all students at your school who received a flu shot, to receive a $25 gift card. The CDD is forecasting a rough flu season this year so all staff and students who got their flu shot are winners by protecting themselves and their families!
Public Health Solutions is excited to report increased rates of participation overall and specifically, your schools had 433 students and staff participate, which figures at 15.9%. Last year, there were 380 participants, at 14.5%. While Public Health Solutions would love to see 100% participation, we are excited to see these rates go up.
If for any reason you missed the SKIP Flu Clinic, please make the effort to get your flu shot at your local health care provider. For more information on flu shot locations, feel free to contact Public Health Solutions at 402-826-3880.
