Lunch Money
Lunch money should be given to your child’s teacher. The teacher will send it to the office to make sure it is deposited to your child’s account. One check can be written for all children you have enrolled in the Beatrice Public Schools district, please make sure that you write each child’s name and the amount you want deposited in their account. Please make sure that the lunch money is in an envelope with the student’s name on it.
Please make sure your child has enough money to cover until the end of the school year. Report cards may be withheld if lunch money is owed.
Parent Portal
Parent Portal allows you to see your child’s attendance and lunch account balances. District notices or information also appear on the Parent Portal. To sign up for the Parent Portal call Julie Stuart in the school office, 223-1575.
Important Information
Remember, if you move, change your telephone number, or change jobs, we need to have your new information on file in the office in case we need to contact you concerning your child. Please make sure that we have your correct information.
Morning Drop-off
When dropping your children off at school in the morning please observe the children in the area and watch your speed. When dropping off, please pull in, drop off your student, and drive away. Please don’t linger. Please don’t take up staff parking places while waiting for your child to go into the school. Please don’t drop off on the opposite side of the street and have your student run across in the middle of the street. Students need to use crosswalks to cross the street. We appreciate your help in this matter!
Call the School Office
A reminder!!! If your child is ill, has a medical appointment or is gone for personal reasons, please call the school office and let them know. Unexcused or unresolved absences may lead to academic probation if the student’s schoolwork begins to fall behind.
Reminder
Please remember that children and adults need to use the crosswalk in front of the school or at 19th and Lincoln when crossing Lincoln or 19th streets. After school crossing is assisted by our Crossing Guard. The traffic at the beginning and end of school is very heavy. Because students are our most precious resource, we care deeply about their safety.
Free Meals in June
Beatrice Public Schools will be offering FREE breakfast and lunch to ALL 1-18 year old kiddos at Paddock Lane, Monday-Thursday for the month of June. Breakfast is from 7:45-8:30 am and 11:00-12:30 pm.
Field Trips
We have many class field trips coming up between now and the end of the school year. Please remember to dress your child accordingly for these field trips. This includes footwear. It is not very easy for your child to enjoy walking around or playing on playground equipment if they are wearing flip flops. Tennis shoes are encouraged for field trips. Thank you for your help in this matter!
