VOLLEYBALL: V at Wahoo Neumann Invitational, starting at 9:00, JV at Syracuse Invitational starting at 8:30.
SOFTBALL: at Columbus Invite, starts at 9:00
CROSS COUNTRY: Middle School Invite. Starts at 9:00
MEETINGS / DEADLINES:
WALLYBALL (Volleyball in the racquetball court) @ the YMCA. 3:00-4:00pm the next 3 Sundays September 15, 22 & 29. You do not have to be a Y member to play. Get more info from Mrs. Bruhn, main office.
QUIZ BOWL: Are you competitive? This is the moment you've all been waiting for! Any students interested in Quiz Bowl are invited for an introductory/informational meeting Wednesday, September 18 during mentor in Mr. Kenton's Rm 210. Students of all grade levels are welcome to attend. If you are interested but not able to attend, speak with Mr. Kenton at another time.
SENIORS AGAINST SUICIDE: has a money donation jar in the main office if you would like to help. September is SUICIDE PREVENTION MONTH. (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention)
SCHOLARSHIPS, CLASSES & DEADLINES: Additional INFO in Student Services Office.
There will be a representative here from Nebraska Wesleyan University on Monday. If you are interested in visiting with this representative, please stop by student services and leave your name.
Students wanting to take an ACT test, see your counselor if you need help registering. ACT will be here at BHS, Saturday, October 26, and you must sign up by September 20, to avoid a late fee.
Juniors and Seniors interested in a 2 year community college, SCC will be here on September 24 to give the Accuplacer exam. Just sign up in student services, no cost for this test!

Beatrice High School Improvement Goals
During the 2019-20 school year, 60% of BHS juniors will receive a score of six (6) or higher on the ACT writing assessment.
By utilizing individual goal setting and tracking progress, BHS will work to improve student MAP assessment scores; with 70% of BHS students at grade level or higher at the end of the 2019-20 school year.
