Voting for Homecoming King and Queen top 10 is now open. Please check your school email to vote. Voting will close at 8:00 p.m. tonight. (Oltman)
PINK-OUT SHIRTS for sale in the main office. Order and money due before Tuesday, September 24.
EVENTS & ACTIVITIES: Friday
GIRLS GOLF: all day at the Crete Invite, started at 9:00 a.m.
CROSS COUNTRY: at the Waverly Invite starting at 2:00. Please dismiss Cross Country at 11:10, a couple minutes before A lunch to get through the lines first to be able to eat, load and go.
FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL: hosting McCook for a 7:00 kick-off, remember to get here in time to watch pregame with the marching band and flags. STAFF: please remember to move your vehicles out of the game day parking zone before 4:00.

JV/Resv. VOLLEYBALL INVITE: starts at 9:00. JV in the O-Zone and Resvs. have the Aux Gym.
TENNIS: at Skutt Catholic Invite: starts also at 9:00
JV SOFTBALL: at the Lincoln Southwest Invite starting at 10:00 at the Doris Bair Complex.
MEETINGS / DEADLINES:
SENIOR GIRLS: PowderPuff Flag Football time again this year. Cheerleaders vs Seniors Girls wishing to play. Sign up in the main office, no cost to play, need to be available to practice and must be academically eligible. Sign up ends next Tuesday, (Sept. 24). Game is Thursday Oct. 3 at 8:30 after the JV boys football game, $3.00 admission unless you purchase a Vans Pulled Pork meal ($7.00) from a cheerleader, then you get in free. Van’s will serve between 5:30 and 8:30.
HOMESTEADER: Senior Pictures and Baby Pictures are due early this school year. Please get them in by Friday, November 1. Please send electronically to Ms. Glenn or bring to the classroom.
SCHOLARSHIPS, CLASSES & DEADLINES: Additional INFO in Student Services Office.
There will be a representative here from Southeast Community College – all campuses. If you would like to visit with this representative, please stop by Student Services and leave your name.
Students wanting to take an ACT test, see your counselor for help registering. ACT will be here at BHS, Saturday, October 26, but you must sign up by September 20 (today) to avoid a late fee.
Juniors and Seniors interested in a 2 year community college, SCC will be here on September 24 (next Tuesday) to give the Accuplacer exam. Just sign up in student services, no cost for this test!

Beatrice High School Improvement Goals
During the 2019-20 school year, 60% of BHS juniors will receive a score of six (6) or higher on the ACT writing assessment.
By utilizing individual goal setting and tracking progress, BHS will work to improve student MAP assessment scores; with 70% of BHS students at grade level or higher at the end of the 2019-20 school year.
