BHS Announcements for January 23, 2020
Bulletin for 01-23-20
An idiom is a combination of words that has a figurative meaning, due to its common usage, idioms are not to be taken literally. Today’s idiom: walking on air - The idea that someone is so happy that they feel like they are floating is believed to have led to this idiom. This is meant to be the polar opposite of being depressed (feeling down). If you are not down you are up. Meaning: to be very happy, to feel awfully excited & pleased in a state of intense happiness.
