HARVEST TIME
The Beatrice FFA field plot provides students with valuable hands-on learning experiences that connect classroom instruction to real-world agricultural practices. Through managing the plot, students gain skills in crop production, agronomy, and agribusiness decision-making. Students say working on the FFA field plot gives us real, hands-on experience in raising crops and managing an agricultural business. It’s rewarding to know the money we earn helps support our FFA chapter and the opportunities we get through it. Students also like being able to talk to other businesses that are helping them out. Proceeds from the project directly support FFA activities and leadership development opportunities, ensuring the program’s continued growth and student success. Getting the community involved in the FFA Chapter is what makes it great. The money raised will be used for the National FFA Convention, State Convention Expenses, FFA Jackets, as well as a Senior Scholarship.
