The first few weeks of 5th grade have been busy, exciting, and full of new experiences! Our students are settling into their new routines and getting ready for a successful school year.

We started by going over our 5th grade expectations and learning what it means to be responsible, respectful, and ready to learn. Students also had the opportunity to get to know all of their 5th grade teachers, helping everyone feel more comfortable with the people they will be learning from throughout the year.

We have also jumped right into our reading and math rotations. Students are learning how rotations work, practicing moving between activities, and getting used to working independently and with their classmates.

Another important part of our beginning-of-the-year routine has been MAP testing. Students have been working hard to show what they know and help us learn more about their individual strengths and areas for growth.

Most importantly, we are settling into our new 5th grade routines. From learning classroom procedures to navigating our daily schedules, students are becoming more confident each day. We are proud of the effort, flexibility, and positive attitudes our 5th graders have shown as they begin this exciting year!

It has been a wonderful start to 5th grade, and we are looking forward to all the learning, growth, and fun still to come!
