The Beatrice Public Schools’ Board of Education invites qualified and experienced search firms to submit proposals to assist the Board with the recruitment and selection of the District’s next Superintendent of Schools.
All proposals must be received by 2:00 p.m., October 23, 2026 and may be (1) emailed to: dfairbanks@bpsnebr.org or (2) mailed to:

Each proposal must address, at a minimum, the following:
A. Search Firm Information
• Name, address, and years of operation;
• Description of firm’s experience conducting superintendent searches in Nebraska;
• The total number of superintendent searches conducted in the past five years in the State of Nebraska; and
• Experience with districts of similar size and demographics (if any).
B. Lead Search Consultant(s)
• The name(s) and background information of the individual(s) who will serve as the lead consultant(s) on the superintendent search; and
• A description of experience and background of such individual(s) with other superintendent searches in the State of Nebraska over the past five years.
C. Search Process
• A detailed description of the proposed search process;
• Explanation of any phase(s) of the search process, including (if applicable) opportunities for community, staff, and administrator feedback and involvement;
• The timeline for each phase of the search; and
• The strategies and methods the firm will use to recruit and screen prospective candidates.
D. References
• At least three references from Nebraska public school districts for which the firm has conducted superintendent searches within the past five years.
E. Fee Proposal
• The total cost for superintendent search services (including all fees and out-of-pocket expenses);
• An itemized breakdown of professional fees to be charged; and
• A complete explanation of additional or optional costs.
F. Guarantees
• An explanation of any assurance or guarantee to the Board if the selected candidate does not remain with the District within a certain period of time.
