Superintendent Finalists Announced
The Beatrice Public School Board of Education has selected the following finalists to interview for their superintendent vacancy on Saturday, December 9th.
- Mr. Jason Alexander is the current superintendent for Ord Public Schools. He received his Education Specialist degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2010 and grew up in Wyoming.
- Mr. Michael Halley currently serves as the high school principal for Scottsbluff Public Schools. He received his Education Specialist degree from Wayne State College in 2016 and is a native of Western Nebraska.
- Mrs. Jackie Nielsen currently serves as the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment for Beatrice Public Schools. She is currently completing her Education Specialist program through the University of Nebraska- Lincoln and grew up in Beatrice.
- Mr. Michael Sieh is the current superintendent for Stanton Community Schools. He received his Education Specialist degree from Wayne State College in 1998 and his Doctorate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2009. He grew up in South Dakota and Naper, Nebraska.
Several stakeholder groups will have the opportunity to interview the finalists and submit input to the Board. The Board intends to make their selection and announcement by December 11th.
Beatrice Public Schools retained the services of Baker and Rastovski, School Services, LLC to assist in conducting the superintendent search. The consultants reviewed, screened, and conducted extensive background checks on all applicants.
