Winter Coats
If your student is in need of a warm winter coat please let us know. We have brand new winter coats in all sizes for boys and girls and they need homes. Please call the office at 402-223-1575 if your child is in need of one.
Morning Drop-off
When dropping your children off at school in the morning please observe the children in the area and watch your speed. When dropping off, please pull in, drop off your student, and drive away. Please don’t linger. Please don’t take up staff parking places while waiting for your child to go line up for school. Please don’t drop off on the opposite side of the street and have your student run across in the middle of the street. Students need to use crosswalks to cross the street. We appreciate your help in this matter!
Parent/Teacher Conferences
Thank you to all of those that took the time to come and visit with your child's teacher during Parent/Teacher Conferences. Studies show that children whose parents stay involved in their child's school life are more successful in school.
Cold Weather Policy
It is the policy at Lincoln Elementary to go outside for recess during the day and at lunchtime if the temperature (with wind chill) is 0 degrees or above. Therefore, it is very important that your child have boots, gloves/mittens, hat/scarf, and a winter coat each day. If your child is lacking any of theses essential items they will not be protected from the elements as well as they should be. Please call our school office if you need assistance with providing coats, gloves or hats for your student. We thank you in advance for your cooperation with our cold weather policy.

PTO News
**The next PTO meeting February will be on the 4th Monday instead of the normally scheduled 3rd Monday. We do not have school on the originally scheduled date, Feb. 19, therefore we have moved the PTO meeting to Mon., Feb. 26 @ 5:30 pm in the library.
***Officer Elections It is not too soon to be thinking about next year and planning for new officers. If you or someone you know would like to become more involved in helping improve our school – this is a great way to get involved. Elections will be held in April at our annual meeting.
***PTO would like you to save boxes for their upcoming fundraiser. If you could save medium/large boxes and/or flats it would be greatly appreciated. They would like boxes no larger than 2 ft. x 2 ft. Flats from pop or Gatorade also work very well.
