Morning Drop-off
When dropping your children off at school in the morning please observe the children in the area and watch your speed. When dropping off, please pull in, drop off your student, and drive away. Please don’t linger. Please don’t take up staff parking places while waiting for your child to go into the school. Please don’t drop off on the opposite side of the street and have your student run across in the middle of the street. Students need to use crosswalks to cross the street. We appreciate your help in this matter!
Lunch Money
Lunch money should be given to your child’s teacher. The teacher will send it to the office to make sure it is deposited to your child’s account. One check can be written for all children you have enrolled in the Beatrice Public Schools district, please make sure that you write each child’s name and the amount you want deposited in their account. Please make sure that the lunch money is in an envelope with the student’s name on it.
Please Help us. . .
Please help us to keep information involving your child current. If you have moved, changed telephone numbers, changed work or made changes that could affect how we get in touch with you, please let our office know.
Student Absence Procedure
If your child is ill, has a medical appointment, or is gone for personal reasons, PLEASE call the school office and let us know. Unexcused or unresolved absences may lead to academic probation if the student’s schoolwork begins to fall behind.
If your child goes to a medical or dental appointment during the school day it is best to get an excuse slip from that medical/dental office for your student’s file. That slip will be documentation to support the excused absence.
Parent Portal
Parent Portal allows you to see your child’s attendance and lunch account balances. District notices or information also appear on the Parent Portal. To sign up for the Parent Portal call Julie Stuart in the school office, 223-1575.
CHIP Program
Lincoln Elementary second graders will be participating in the CHIP program this year. CHIP stands for Child Identification Program. This program provides valuable information for law enforcement should there ever be a situation where a child has gone missing. If you have a second grade student, you will be receiving a packet of papers that will need to be filled out for your child to participate. This is a voluntary program, and only children with parental/guardian permission will participate.
Flu Shot Clinic
As most of you are probably aware, last year was a very bad flu season. The more people immunized will help reduce the spread of the flu. We realize that the flu shot does not guarantee to protect 100% against getting the flu, but it will greatly reduce the length and severity of symptoms should you get the flu.
A Flu Immunization Clinic will be offered at Lincoln Elementary on October 25. The clinic will only be offering the injectable vaccine. Please be certain to talk to your child so they are aware that they will be getting the shot this year.
Your child will be bringing home a packet soon. If you would like your child to receive the immunization, you must fill out the permission form and return it to school. Thank you!
Homecoming Spirit Week
Elementary students love to support their high school and be involved in Homecoming Week. We are planning theme days during this week to show our spirit for the Orangemen & Lady Orange.

Lady O” - Crazy Hair/Crazy Hat day
